Born and raised in Greenville, South Carolina, Dale brings a diverse background to his research, including 17 years in law enforcement, 16 years in the United States Marine Corps, and over 41 years of public speaking experience. His fascination with Bigfoot began as a child after seeing The Legend of Boggy Creek at a local drive-in theater—a spark further fueled by his grandmother’s tales of mountain lore, panthers, and "haints in the hollers."

After moving to Westminster in 2017 near the foot of the Appalachian Mountains, those childhood stories resurfaced. What started as a lighthearted conversation with his wife and friend Kyle Brown quickly evolved into a serious mission: founding the South Carolina Bigfoot Festival in 2019. Today, what began as a fun, entertaining subject has transformed into a dedicated passion. Dale regularly shares South Carolina’s rich Bigfoot history, blending regional folklore, personal evidence, and historical accounts to show audiences why the cryptid is far more than just a campfire story.
